quit what guys are did any of y'all or any of y'all ever study psychology or know anything about psychology or about sherman brain in general Kimmi asked me not I'm not a psychiatrist or psychologist but you know as a layperson you know I've looked into things like that okay well I'm going to throw a hypothetical real quick like okay let's see octopuses for instance let's say people that do believe in God or Jesus but they they know that they don't exist but for psychological purposes for the better of the human being it helps them and everyday purposes what they don't even they know they're not going to go to head but just for everyday purposes the rules or the criteria in which the Bible talks about just helps them and I think that's why a lot of people that are in higher corporate positions and I mean you guys seem like you're successful but I mean you don't believe in God and you you seem to have good evidence and good arguments about why God doesn't exist but what does that do good for you rain or let me finish this is a show where people are calling in and so you should listen more than talk what to do oh but you already talked so much you don't anybody be letting you finish but I don't want you to make more points I swore to finish at all we can't address upon the entire thing that I'm speaking about here so I don't forget you don't like to intimidate interrogate no I think that's kind of long okay so anyway can I just finish let me finish here yes okay so let's say you know what people don't believe in God but I just use it for a psychological advantage yeah rather than y'all believing that it doesn't exist and trying to debunk people and obviously you seem very sarcastic even almost almost almost like you're you're you're angry or you're you eat everything you say it's the guy promptly got a left here but you seem very uh sarcastic and like that smile right now I'm real what you're not just higher than origin bomber is I think I'm smile or that fart chick as of the three of us you sir know the anger sorry Josie and what y'all guys are talking about you have good evidence but y'all are almost imposing your belief do you think don't believe in polio you don't believe in God you guys no job believe that is a complete belief that is a belief you guys want to jump around the bush now you do not believe in God all right can I can I answer the question that you're asking it what you were referring to what if somebody absolutely knows that their belief is wrong but they hold the belief anyway because it provides them some real benefit right without it makes you think I heard you the first time and I'm looking on others okay you're going to get your own hole and I didn't hang up I'll take you out fold just let me finish I understood it and I'm addressing it they believe this because they feel a benefit from it and your claim or your question seems to be what's so wrong with it I'm going to answer you anyway your claim seems to be what's so wrong with that it broke it man I broke the phone thingy the reason there's a problem with that it and this came up in it in a way in a discussion about rehabilitation of prisoners and using religion for that and the point seems to be if my goal is to have a better outcome have something it feels good if we know for a fact that religion let's say is not true but no matter what you're talking about and believing it anyway yields a positive effect then it's incumbent upon us to find out what is it in that belief what power of positive thinking in the mind what mindset if we put ourselves in that is actually causing the benefit because the benefits clearly is not coming from God we've already accepted at the beginning of your argument that we don't believe the same benefit can be derived from a number of different positive thinking type it's changing somebody's mindset and would you rather feel the benefit from believing something you know to be a lie or discover how to feel that benefit based on a truth and I wish I hadn't hung up but that's kind of the the nutshell way of addressing David had to that well I got I got a step in as my in in my own defense you know sir yes I am I I I present my case strongly and I do sometimes wind up talking over other people that is almost always because the other person won't shut up and then I and when I get a little heated it's because the other person won't shut up or the other person is making an argument I've heard 18 gazillion times already and it's completely bogus and if I could just get a word in edgewise I could explain why it's bogus or there the other person is repeating something they already said that they you know they'd already back down from right which is like deeply unfair when you have an exchange so I'm not going to apologize for trying to do a good job defending my position and I'm certainly not going to take it from a guy who calls in and starts telling us how we should behave on our show right I'm not to take it from you that you are the judge of what is proper behavior when you call into our show we have rules we try to be fair but yeah but you know we're not going to be dictated to how to operate our own our own program that's ridiculous if I cut somebody off it's one of the most common reasons it is that it's unfair for somebody to call in and make for shotgun claims to which are probably the same claim in disguise and not give anyone the chance to respond to them so when you've made your first ask your first question about believing something you know not to be true just because you feel feel that it's good it's fair to let me actually respond to that and if you wouldn't hung up when we were done with it we could go on to another point that you made it's not you know I think anybody who watches the show and it is objective about it knows that we're not just here hanging up on people and talking over people you can call in whenever you want if you really want to see that call one of those Christian shows yeah we're more fair to people who they are we've been accused many times of letting people go on way way way too long like what a lady earlier yeah because I don't like I don't like to put people on hold I don't like to to hang up on people in order to be able to speak but there are people who will call in and just ramble and ramble and ramble on multiple points and you know get your own show ask a question provide a claim let us respond to it I'll be I'd be more than happy to have only one caller for the entirety of the show as long as it was a good discussion as soon as it turns into just blah blah blah over and over and over again it's not worth happened okay let's move on yeah let's go into faith hey doing hey I'm okay you know I just kind of why the Sherwood you something because I died and when I you know was ushered into hell the they were getting me ready to go into the bowels they even announced it and and I said Jesus is my Savior oh is that back in my body and this doctor I remember it took him a long time but he said you'll never read write or talk I can't shut up and I understood languages I knew what people are going to say before they said it I mean and then I became a pilot in 20 minutes and my first flight was I applause I'm sorry merica you know the men it's the largest military air force for men to learn to fly excuse me many said it was a miracle I made it in because their pies couldn't do that really this is my Savior excuse me ma'am no and break it our granite another cha wouldn't be the word in edgewise can we talk please you know I can't want to hear you okay good uh I have one question yeah can you prove any of this well you know I got doctors with everybody in my family died and come back can you have a delicious and um he said hey Faye when tell me I never move again has it the VA for a year okay come on man come on Naomi and said after my name I gotta say that is exactly what we're talking about yeah you know she's gonna go on and on and on and on with these wild claims and when asked if she can prove any of it she brushes off the request and just goes on making more claims and most of it this is not emotional names I mean now it's one thing to say that you became a pilot in 20 minutes that's that's impressive and you know I'd be interested in that if you get proof and blah blah blah but to go on and on with testimonial after testimonial it's not evident it's not while it is evidence it's just not reliable evidence it doesn't prove anything it doesn't demonstrate and if you're just going to ramble and not have a discussion we'd rather you just didn't go I became a brain surgeon at a fortnight you see how easy that is just say that is why we ask for evidence and that's why evidence is important because anybody can say anything and if you do any of these ten things you has a special place full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever till the end of time but he loves you

  1. Intimidate and interrogate ?? Those atheistic rambling nutters can be only a source of fun 🙂

Atheistic argument form lack of faith :
    i. If God exist I should believe in God
II. I do not believe in God
ergo : God does not exist ..:)

  2. Arguing with christians … christopaths – It's like playing
chess with a pigeon; no matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going
to knock over the pieces, crap on the board, and strut around like it's

  3. She learned to fly in 20 mins wow now why haven't the military been showing of this fine lady 🚺 I smell bullshit yet again lies on lies and these fucks are morally better than me Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha ……….. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha……………….. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha……….. Sorry but fuck me and God let's these people talk for him what a way to prove our point just keep on messing it up u dipshits 👿

  4. I wonder if Matt ever feels like Denzel Washington in the Manchurian candidate. Him and his fellow soldiers get caught in a firefight; they are taken and brainwashed. Denzel is the first to come out of denial and see the conspiracy. He starts investigating, finds other soldiers, few, whom are having trouble buying the story that was given to them about the firefight. He runs into trouble, gets shut down, even made out to be crazy. Whom would not doubt themselves with the majority saying he's wrong?
I was in 12 step programs, not AA. I did not believe in faith in one higher power that I pray to; ask for things; or turn my will and life over to. The peer pressure to conform. Lies: these are the suggested steps; it's universal no matter your religious faith or none; it's your ego if you don't believe in a higher power (just one mind you); it's spiritual and not religious; in the three obstacles to success in alanon it's says no discussion of religion. The program is full of christanity in it's readings . Another rule is to not discuss outside literature or ideas. Not a good idea to say you are an atheist or even say anything about Buddhism. Most do not see that these programs are to convert you to a Christian way of thinking. I was in these programs for a decade even spoke at conventions.
One day I felt it was ok for me to say I don't do the higher power steps. It said the steps were suggested. I was shocked by the flack. I chaired a meeting on the third tradition which said the only requirement is to have been affected by an alcoholic. I was shut down by the group within five minutes when I said faith in a higher power is not my relgious path. They said no discussion of religion. Wtf. After that I got put down comments in meetings and pity that I did not have a higher power (calling god higher power was gaslighting to manipulate). The program is christanity pretending it's not. I had lots of self doubt but I saw. I left.
So sick and a mission impossible as Matt I'm sure feels at times. These videos have been helpful. Atheists often stand alone buffeted with strong peer pressure and psychological warfare. It take strength.

  5. I’m a no theistic pagan. I follow the sentiments expressed in the folklore, but don’t hav any reason to believe in gods. Nobody’s ever told me to stop, but I don’t pretend like the guy in the call suggested. I’m not sure why his question even existed. Plenty of non-christians see ‘judge less you be judged’ as a good sentiment. Plenty of non-christians celebrate christian holidays. The thing is… atheists can do whatever they want, in respect to their personal philosophy.

  6. How can someone know or think God isn't real but still "use" religion for psychological reasons or believe something they know to be a lie? Doesnt make sense

  7. Adults use sarcasm. I bet the caller uses sarcasm. Sarcasm is a very useful tool for discussion. But when it goes against your silliness, you have a problem with it. Oh wait, I don't want to hurt your feelings…I better stop…not

Dear Lord, I admit that I am a sinner. I have done many things that don’t please you. I have lived my life for myself only. I am sorry, and I repent. I ask you to forgive me. I believe that you died on the Cross to save me. You did what I could not do for myself. I come to you now and ask you to take control of my life; I give it to you. From this day forward, help me to live every day for you and in a way that pleases you. I love you, Lord, and I thank you that I will spend all eternity with you. Amen.

Now be confident in God’s promises:

Because you believe in the Name of Jesus, you are a child of God, born according to His pleasure.

Before He created the world, He chose you to be holy and blameless before Him, having already decided to adopt you by the good pleasure of His will. (paraphrase, John 1:12, Eph 1: 4)
